What we do -
We work within a 30-mile radius of Lafeyette, Indiana, offering free consultations in our potential clients' homes to let them know about our services. This allows us to see the items clients want to sell, the floorplan of the home, and learn about our clients and their needs. We will explain the entire process, discuss our fees, and then set sale dates and sign contracts when the client is ready.
When a client signs a contract with us, we will agree on the date we want possession of the home so we can set up, organize and price our clients' possessions. Once we begin working in the home (and on the property), several of our staff will work a variety of hours to locate items, sort, research, advertise and price those items for sale. We do our best to accommodate our clients' schedules and needs.
Next, we advertise sale information and photos on this website as an upcoming sale event. We have our own Facebook page, we use Craigslist, yardsalesearch.com, and estatesales.net, and a variety of other Facebook pages relative to the location and content of our sales. Also, we send out email invitations to our mailing list members. We may also use classified ads in local papers or distribute flyers to advertise sales. We place directional signs at close intersections and in front of the homes close to sale day.
We host a one to 3-day sale, depending on the type, quality, & quantity of items. We provide tables, linens, display cases, lights, and manpower as needed for a highly successful sale. If we find items such as birth certificates, love letters, hidden money, and such we will place those items in a secured location for our clients.
We average an 80%-90% rate of sell-out for sale items. There are always a few items left after the sale. We will offer options for clearing away remaining items, from donation to haul aways.
Within 10 days of the sale, we mail a settlement statement to each client. This statement is accompanied by a cashier's check for the client's sale proceeds.

We will sell higher priced items (cars, travel trailers, boats and such) by silent bid, with an opening price set by owner or by our research, and the sale awarded to the highest bidder at the close of the sale event.
The best thing to remember if you are thinking of having an estate sale is don't throw anything out or donate it (unless that is your heart's desire) before trying to sell it (unless it is obviously trash). A lot of people think "Oh that won't sell" or "No one will want that," but the old saying "One man's trash is another man's treasure" holds true. Folks are always amazed at what we can sell. So let us try to sell it for you first, and then you can donate it or dispose of it after the sale. We encourage you to take care to direct your personal belongings and family items prior to your sale. We ask that you dispose of obvious trash when you are sorting, but know we will take over when it's handed off to us.
